The Brazilian-spec 2027 Honda City receives a sharper, Prelude-inspired design update, along with full-LED headlights, a new RS variant for the hatchback, and a larger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The 2027 Honda City has been unveiled in Brazil with a refreshed design, upgraded features, and a new RS variant for the hatchback. While the sedan is available in LX, EX, EXL, and Touring trims, the hatchback gains a new range-topping RS version positioned above the Touring. Regular sales will begin in early November 2026, while pre-sales opened on October 3 for the first 3,000 units—1,500 sedans and 1,500 hatchbacks.
The biggest visual update is at the front, where the 2027 Honda City adopts a Prelude-inspired look with a redesigned grille, flatter Honda badge, revised bumper and new lighting elements. Full-LED headlights are now standard across the range, while the Touring and RS variants add an LED light strip linking the headlamp areas; the sedan also receives a revised lower rear bumper, while the RS hatchback gets a distinct rear design.
Mechanically, it retains the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder flex-fuel engine with direct injection, producing 126 hp at 6,200 rpm. It delivers 155 Nm of torque on ethanol and 152 Nm on petrol at 4,600 rpm, paired with a front-wheel-drive CVT automatic gearbox featuring seven simulated ratios; Honda claims a 0-100 kmph time of about 10.6 seconds.

The new RS sits at the top of the Honda City Hatchback range and focuses on sporty styling and added equipment rather than extra performance. It retains the same 126 hp 1.5-litre flex-fuel engine and CVT gearbox used across the lineup.
On the outside, the RS gets a black roof, black mirror caps, a black shark-fin antenna and rear spoiler, dark-finished 16-inch alloy wheels, RS badges, a sportier exhaust finisher and a unique rear bumper treatment. Inside, it features aluminium pedals, a black headliner and pillars, red contrast stitching, darker trim pieces and exclusive instrument-cluster graphics.
